What did I learn through my research?

There are many things that I have learned through our research. One thing I have learned the top 10 poached animals that are the closest to extinction. I only knew 1 of the animals the snow leopard. I have also learned many glossary words I didn't know before. I put 10 glossary words in my paper, 10 in my animoto video, and 10 on my group tri-fold board. I have learned that there can be more than one perspective on an event. I also learned the programs that help animals that are endangered or animals that are orphans (LUCN) World Conservation Union. I also learned the reasons why people might poach which includes

1.For money
2.For fun
3. For medicines (that actually have no affects)

During the IIM process I found it difficult to write my paper 5 note-facts for each of my 3 perspectives. The 3 perspectives are; :

1. The buyer's perspective
2. The Government's perspective
3. The Poacher's perspective

I overcame that by getting help from my dad and, I also took my time through my research, and i wrote rough draft after rough draft. My dad then checked all the rough drafts I had made and helped me by explaining what my glossary words meant so that it wouldn't be that hard for me to include a sentence with a glossary word in it to my paper.

live and work together

People can live and work together peacefully by sharing what they have with each other .For instance, I have a lot of corn and vegetables so I share them with the other people that don't have as much.I also invite them to where I live, and I talk to the people nicely and politely. Then they will share whatever they have with me, and invite me to their house, they will also talk nicely and politely to me, like I had done to them.I now have peace among another family "treat others the way you want to be treated."

What factors influence my beliefs and values.

  • What I believe in
  • the perspectives you have based on someone else
  • influence your religion
  • conflict, if i have it with a lot of people or a few people a few people

  • where i GREW up
  • ·         where my parents are FROM WHAT things are valuable
for example: gold, candy, and a big house are some things that are VALUABLE there. Gold is VALUABLE because gold is expensive and is really hard to get so it is valued. candy is also very VALUABLE there because the people living there can get the candy from people from America, so whenever we go there we give my mom’s family a few bags of candy.they don’t eat very much at once.this is very different from the american culture, where people might eat a bag of candy in a few days.they have 1 piece of candy a week.SOMETIMES when my cousin gets a really good grade, she is rewarded with candy. a big house is also very VALUABLE there because it shows wealth and a high status.

The Different Perspectives Of Poaching

I chose 4 perspectives for poaching that I think were important

  1. The poacher's perspective
  2. The animal's perspective
  3. The government's perspective
  4. The consumer's perspective (person who buys the poached animal's product)
The poacher's perspective is that I don't care what I sell I just want the money here is a quote from www.academia.edu.

The quote says "A poacher is a person who only thinks about his or her own desires and wishes, who goes out to hunt and comes back on the same day,and someone who doesn't care of the future of the animal.

The animal's perspective is that "my life is ruined, and I cant do anything else in my life, and that I will die in such a cruel way.

The government's perspective is that they want poaching to stop, the government is trying to pass a law indicating that poaching is illegal and it should stop and be put to an end.

The consumer's perspective is that they don't care how they get the skin, bone, ivory, tusk,or any other part,as long as they can get it for why they wanted to get it which includes medicine, decoration,or any another purpose.

I agree with the government they should pass a law so that they can help stop poaching. Many animals die around the world everywhere and everyday..

State The Topic You Have And Explain Why You Chose It

  1. I chose poaching because I thought how my dad and many grown ups like my grandmother and grandfather say "Have you ever heard of this species and that species"Their usually very beautiful.I always think "I wish I could learn about it"Well I thought it was very cool how certain animals change at certain time each each year I thought it was entertaining.
  2. I also chose poaching because earlier this year we learned about some extinct and endangered animals I knew only like three or four will so after like two weeks we are doing this project and poaching was the category of endangered animals and I thought to my self I will to this topic no matter what so here I am doing this project.

The following are the endangered animals I knew at that time
  1. Blue Whale
  2. Tiger
  3. Giant Panda
  4. Rhinos
Now I know a lot more endangered animals then I knew before.
